Surfaces & More

1. Polished

The polished finish is achieved by applying a layer of glass granules to the slab, which is then removed by diamond grinding wheels, making the slab extremely smooth and shiny. This process gives the material an elegant and reflective appearance, ‘superior’ to polished marble.”

2. Honed

The honed finish refers to a smooth and matte surface achieved through the grinding process. This finish creates a satin appearance and a silky feel to the touch, reflecting light in a diffused manner, giving environments a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

3. Matt

Matt surfaces refers to a natural finish that maintains the original appearance of the material without interventions that alter the texture. The matte surface, devoid of shine and bright reflections, perfectly combines aesthetics and excellent technical performance.

4. Soft Structured

The soft structured finish refers to a matte surface with a light and uniform texture that highlights the microscopic features of the tile and its graphics, but with a more delicate feel to the touch compared to a standard textured surface.

5. Structured

This is the signature finish of Nuovocorso Stones. The surface is hammered through the pressure of a roller that applies a raised texture, giving stone-effect slabs a natural look.

The texture reproduces the marks created by ancient hammer and chisel techniques, resulting in a visually striking three-dimensional effect while also improving the anti-slip properties of the surface.

This finish is clearly perceptible to the touch and enriches the product by evoking a sense of authenticity and craftsmanship. It is particularly suitable for environments where greater safety is required, such as flooring applications, countertops, and indoor-outdoor spaces like loggias and terraces.

6. Structured Leather

A finish with a soft textured surface that features a raised texture, providing a pleasant tactile sensation, often described as velvety or silky to the touch. A versatile choice for various environments and styles.

7. Stripes

The stripes finish is a finish that features linear, parallel engravings, creating an effect of movement and dynamism. Made during the production of the sheet, it modifies the texture by adding a design element.

8. 5D Technology

5D is the process that, through the digital application of glue and granules on the surface of the slabs, allows for the creation of three-dimensional effects and structured surfaces that have a natural appearance, like stones and marbles. It is also possible to enhance the three-dimensional contrast with the overlay of glossy and matte effects.
